Wayne Stewart's Chrome Yellow

Wayne Stewart's Chrome Yellow

Arthouse Jersey in association with Drayton Arms Theatre present Wayne Stewart's Chrome Yellow

One man. 650 miles. One unexpected search for meaning.

Aspiring nihilist (and accidental optimist) Wayne Stewart wrestles with meaning and purpose as he reflects on why he walked 650 miles across France alone. What begins as a search for answers unravels into something far less certain - a journey of unexpected humour, heartfelt reflection, and a peculiar obsession with the colour yellow.

Blending storytelling, travel journal entries and song, Wayne's deeply personal yet relatable performance takes audiences from the highs and lows of his extraordinary journey to the questions that linger long after the walking stops. Funny, candid, and unexpectedly moving, Chrome Yellow invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and find comfort in the beautifully chaotic process of figuring things out.

Following its Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 run, Chrome Yellow comes to London for five performances only.

A Jersey Arts Centre Residency Production, Produced by ArtHouse Jersey.

Writer & Performer - Wayne Stewart

Content warnings: Chrome Yellow draws on Wayne’s own experiences and includes brief but candid references to mental health, epilepsy, alcoholism, heartbreak and loss. Some of these moments are delivered strongly. The show also contains strong language.

At its heart, this is a hopeful, deeply personal and gently funny story about walking, grief, healing and finding meaning. You will not be asked to participate - simply invited to witness Wayne’s journey, step by step.
