Walk Swiftly And With Purpose

Walk Swiftly And With Purpose

History Boys meets Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour in this new take on the classic coming of age tale.

Meet Eve, Lana, Robbie and Misha – four friends on the cusp of adulthood. Until now, they’ve lived mostly in their imagination – suddenly, real life interrupts and their loyalties are tested.

Provocative, pretentious and playful, the young women reflect upon themselves, their friendship and what it is to grow up in the twenty-first century.

Three Sisters was formed by Siofra, Grainne and Cara Dromgoole to find and tell stories which welcome complexity. Siofra developed the play on the North Wall Arts Centre’s ‘Catalyst’ programme, and along with the creative team of director Imy Wyatt Corner and producer Tabitha Piggott, this is the company’s first production. With an all female production team, and a cast of four female and one male actors, Walk Swiftly and With Purpose is very much a play striving to achieve greater equality in the arts.

Theatre Company Reviews:

'Heartbreak is basically mass-marketed now'

Quote from the play

‘a tumbling, touching story of four female friends on the brink of adulthood- imagine an English, all-girl Superbad.’

Fergus Morgan
