Chloe, a French scholar, is visiting China. She has a chance meeting with Mei Yue, a Chinese orphan who never got adopted. A hairpin worn by Mei Yue reveals to Chloe that the orphan is her half-sister. Will she disclose her identity or will she choose to forget her past?
